Fsr, the show is doing the opposite and keeping Mark pure and sensitive like a true hero. What confuses me is that his temper doesn't seem to fit this character; it's like oil and water.

I think it’s kinda interesting how much Comic Mark becomes desensitized to all the violence and death around him, to the point where you could actually buy in the other universes that he joined Viltrum
The show seems to deliberately want to push him in the opposite direction,

@EamoArt I like the comic because we can feel the frustration that Mark feels in said situations, always being made a fool of and being forced to play by the rules. Show Mark only gets depressed. When he loses his temper, his actions doesn't have real weight because they are reasonable

@EamoArt Yeah, on the show Mark swore he would do whatever it took to save whoever was important to him, making killing seem more like a duty than an impulse in itself. Comic Mark suffers from the constant shadow of his father and the viltrumite genes that boost his anger

I feel like a big difference between Show Mark and Comic Mark is that Show Mark is in an inner struggle with feeling like he needs to kill his enemies while Comic Mark is simply giving in to his hatred and impulses.

@guccithealien @dyingscribe Comic Mark would yell and lose his temper from time to time, always scaring someone and being on the verge of snap. Show Mark also has this trait, but always with a convenient reason behind it to justify his actions, keeping him far from being a real threat.

The show can adapt all the events and have the same ending but the intentions of some chars are very different, completely changing how people perceive them. Like, they really improved Debbie for example, but Mark was turned into a different person.

They'll probably just change the tone of the dialogue to a sad winy one

@invincicat Show Mark isn't going to say all that. At most, they'll change the tone of the dialogue to make it sad; that's how they've been doing it with all the moments where Mark loses his temper in the comic.
