"Heritage" means different things to different people, and the term makes me uncomfortable. I'd quibble with some of what he says here. But this is, fundamentally, a strong and serious speech that contrasts Rubio with his inevitable 2028 rivals.

A few things that make this speech so unique among others: - It focuses on the future. - It accentuates American leadership but also calls for unity and cooperation. - It is not crass or vulgar.

Abortion declined by roughly 300,000 annually during President Obama’s time in office — falling to levels lower than those recorded before Roe v. Wade. It rose during President Trump’s first term. It declined again under President Biden. And it is now increasing once more during President Trump’s second term.

Lots of people seem to either 1) want to malign my grandfather or 2) accuse me of liking music they don’t like I’ll just say: the way the show portrayed Puerto Rican streets and neighborhoods, down to how the electrical grid is currently awful & something my family deals with, would’ve made my Papa feel very seen. There's always more we can do. Harming immigrants harms the Body of Christ. There are thousands of acts of solidarity happening with quiet humility and strategic privacy. Let's recognize the facts and pray for our neighbors in need and those who are with them.
