Men don't have periods but they DO have cycles (most people never notice): 1. Men run on a daily hormone cycle, not a monthly one. Testosterone peaks in the morning (around 7-9 a.m.) and drops through the day. That's why many men feel confident, driven, and sharp early and more irritable, flat, or tired at night. It's not moodiness. It's chemistry. 2. Stress hits men hormonally, not emotionally first. When cortisol (stress hormone) stays high, testosterone drops. The result looks like: low energy, low libido, short temper, zoning out, or needing isolation. Many partners think "he doesn't care anymore," when his body is actually overloaded. 3. Men do experience cyclical emotional dips just shorter and less visible. Instead of a monthly bleed, men often have 3-7 day "down cycles" triggered by poor sleep, work pressure, conflict, or lack of recovery. During these phases, motivation drops and silence increases. The mistake is forcing connection instead of allowing recovery. 4. Men process internally, then reset suddenly. Unlike women, who often need to talk to regulate, men's nervous systems recalibrate through rest, movement, and mental quiet. That's why a man can seem "off" for days then wake up fine like nothing happened. The reset is real. 5. Problems start when cycles are ignored. When a man never recovers no sleep, no physical outlet, constant pressure the cycle breaks. This is when burnout, depression, erectile issues, and emotional withdrawal appear. It's not weakness. It's biology being pushed too long. Men don't need fixing during low phases. They need space, respect, and time to reset.

“I have no empathy for your cause on social media because I didn’t see you care about my cause when it was on social media. Let’s engage in endless whataboutism until we hate each other so much that people die because of it, and then tell everyone how we still don’t care.”

The most dangerous addiction today isn't a substance. Research on 100,000 people confirms that heavy short-form video use is just voluntary cognitive decline. We are actively training our brains to fail at hard tasks. If you can simply sit with a problem for 10 minutes without swiping, you have a massive competitive advantage. Basically, boredom is the new IQ.

my favourite quote from atomic habits by James clear; "It doesn't make sense to continue wanting something if you're not willing to do what it takes to get it. If you don't want to live the lifestyle, then release yourself from the desire. To crave the result but not the process, is to guarantee disappointment"

@RizomaSchool One might say, “cant really understand the adults who post so much about normative sacrifices that most parents quietly accept for online accolades.”

Social media allows for passively aggressive behavior that distorts and prevents helpful dialogue at the time opposing sides need it the most.

@justin_garson Which professions are these? How do they convince people there's something wrong with themselves? Are we talking about counselors?

Because I had guaranteed anonymity, I couldn't show the results. The selected participants have been privately contacted using the email they provided. They will have 7 days to confirm and claim the prize. If unclaimed, a new draw will be conducted shortly after.

@TweetATherapist Love that take. I love seeing clients gain assertiveness, and learn how to receive it from others in their lives.

If someone initiates a difficult conversation with you (instead of avoiding you or the issue)… Then they probably value your relationship and want to maintain, strengthen, or repair it—not jeopardize it. Hard conversations can be a sign of care, even if they’re uncomfortable.

@maximusss Of course. Definitely different, but we gamble with time! I've been good! I just got a new full-time job as an assistant professor and might open a private practice when I have time. What about you!? Any big changes?

@Creati0exnihil0 I can partially agree, but ultimately you’re not risking big sums here because of the thirst for easy money🤷‍♂️ Btw, it’s been a while since we chatted last time, how have you been, bro?

Visited a real-life casino for the first time. Didn’t go to win, just for experience, betting only what I was ready to lose. Not gonna recommend it, especially if you tend to overplay or gamble your last money. Gambling is about dopamine, not profits. A few win, but most lose. And even winners keep playing until they lose too. It’s risky. It’s addicting. If you’ve got self-control (or a friend to keep you in check), maybe try it once. Might drop a post soon about my Web3 gambling experience, mostly Abstract. Btw, the only pic I managed to take, security made me delete the rest:)
