Our upcoming The Covington Salute to Vampire Diaries Festival, happening April 3-4, 2027, is truly one for the books, and we appreciate all the support for this one-of-a-kind convention! Today we give it up for one of our most beloved staff members, our lead and boss man photographer Chris Schmelke.   This weekend Chris returns to Toronto, a city dear to his heart due to deep family roots there.    Do you know that 4 generations of Schmelke family members have worked at Creation events?   And even better Chris started "working" at shows for Creation at our first Official Star Wars Convention (he was 10) about 40 years ago.  He played Star Wars action figures with Mark Hamill's kid!    Yes, that is the convention where we surprised George Lucas by bringing Gene Roddenberry on stage!   And Chris, world's biggest Star Wars fan, was there!    We are really blessed to have him be a member of the Creation Family.  To say that Chris and his team blow away any photo op group in the fan convention universe is a deep understatement. And we hear it ALL the time from our great attendees and celebrities as well. Make sure to say hello to Chris in Toronto and welcome him back to his second home.
