@CreativeSpoonie I think Lestat has that thing of where he's like "I am going to teach you a lesson!" VENGEANCE. and then he's a dork who actually tries to teach people an actual lesson, but they never forgive him for it.

I too thought that's what I wanted, and it's like when Daniel said "Interview with the Vampire Lestat," and it sounded sooooooo bad, I was like, wtf are people thinking. Imagine exchanging what we had for a fkface mocumentary? Oh Lord.

i feel like it would have been very fun for this season to have been shot in mockumentary style. in the grand scheme of things we barely got any scenes of lestat recording his doc and the marketing of this season made it seem like lestat doing a “rewrite” was the main focus

@LosRodrigosG Bringing Daniel on for the doc seemed more to punish him than anything else, bc Lestat was NOT using that as his method of telling his story. His music was his method of telling it, which is definitely much more “Lestat”

@LosRodrigosG Yeah, bc ultimately, Daniel published the book against Louis’ wishes, so even though most of Lestat’s pain was directed & Louis, his rage was more so for Daniel. There was no reason at all for Lestat to want to give Daniel more fuel to exploit him & his loved ones.

It's also the "Lestat never did anything wrong ever, bad things just kept happening to and around him" and that feels very reductive to me. Moral greyness is central to all the vampires, including Lestat.

@znrclr_ @lilixlov I get really annoyed every time someone says that kind of thing this season. There hasn’t been a SINGLE sex scene that’s been good & healthy, which is 100% intentional. Even in the elevator, Lestat had been drugged & was being honey trapped. This is the sexual ABUSE season.
