Our Blocks of Hope Minecraft tournament last weekend was a huge success, raising over $17,500 for @CureCancerAu / @GameOn_Cancer! The live Minecraft Hunger Games charity event was streamed by 17 creators on Twitch and YouTube, raised over $17,500 from 206 donations and had over 2,000+ live viewers watching all of the chaos. We kicked it all off with a pre-raise event, held the day before, which was key to getting the word out and pulling in some early donations. Donations unlocked better starting gear for the creators in the main tournament. That warm-up event alone fundraised $12,000! The main event featured two wild matches of Hunger Games on a huge, custom-made map. Viewer donations added a layer of interactivity by triggering in-game events like earthquakes, wardens being released, and hunters sent after players, which led to some seriously funny moments. Our charity gaming events and online tournaments have a great track record of high fundraising while also bringing the local gaming community together for a great cause, while keeping their content engaging and entertaining. A huge thank you to the creators who donated their time and Pika for creating and managing the Minecraft server.

The 'BLOCKS OF HOPE' Minecraft charity event is happening this Saturday, the 31st of January at 8:00 PM AEDT to raise funds and awareness for cancer research! All of these legends have given up their time to battle it out in what I think is going to be the coolest events I have hosted yet! There is so much custom work done to this map, it is insane! I am so excited 😍 All funds go directly through @tiltify to @GameOn_Cancer 💜 Massive thanks to @Rhybits, Pikau, @domotius, @Peckett and @hotto_au for helping make this happen!
