@TempletonPeckJr Made me chuckle that I'm now getting feed adverts on his new book How to Launder Money.

@CricTrade99 That might lend credence to one of my theories that it's Farage's mate, George Cottrell, as it's possible he'd use a $ account.

Forgive the broken record, but I can't recall the last time I saw something as seemingly crazy as what's happening on the politics markets. Someone keeps coming along placing some clearly insane bets. Then he'll just pull all his money. Lib Dems and Tories clearly not double figures to win Gorton. Workers can't win. Chucked thousands away there. Are his bets backign Greens, laying Ref/Lab any better?!? Same on Most Seats, taking Greens into 9.0, Your Party close to 100 are clearly insane so are his lays of Reform, backs of Labour wrong too? If there's any logic to what he's doing then I can't see it.

@TempletonPeckJr Might well be UK based but using a dollar account. Master / Sub accounts have certainly run in different currencies. He did pull money at 5pm on the dot UK time the other day too. Interesting to watch anyway.

@CricTrade99 Ooh, good spot. Will keep any eye on any other numbers they use to see if they convert. he was using a lot of 1s before and £111 is $150. As they tended to pull their money overnight, I'd assumed it was UK based.

@TempletonPeckJr Noticeable that some of the chunks convert nicely to dollars. The 372s now for example for $500. I did wonder about your prediction market player theory who perhaps thinks they've found a European backwater. Also like the big moves started happening after postal vote no.s known.

He's dumped six figures into these markets, so someone who has plenty in Betfair or can deposit plenty. Would love to know who it is and what they're up to.

Biggest cricket game of the year... India v Pakistan... Forecast to rain lots... and @Betfair haven't loaded completed match market. You'd think after 25 years they might be able to load markets competently and on time.

@TempletonPeckJr It was Leadsom. Of course it was. These by election markets tend to favour those on the ground. Suspect it is something similar. Private polling. Someone has seen how many applied to vote by post by yesterday evening's deadline etc.

@CricTrade99 Yeah, I think that’s the least likely explanation. Happened with Leadsom and Brian Rose in recent times. Mordaunt rings a bell too but can’t say for sure

Greens plunged into 1.42 to win Gorton and Denton. I haven't seen any public info so looks like someone may have some noteworthy data? Labour have thrown everything at this, cabinet members, Rayner, Burnham, Powell all been campaigning hard. You'd think they'd only be doing this if they thought they were in with a decent chance of winning so if the market's correct then Starmer in deep, deep trouble if they're losing heavily to the Greens here.

@TempletonPeckJr This is exactly what I was wondering. Throwback to a former market. Was it Penny Morduant? I forget the details but someone was clearly spending a bit to keep the name and possibility front and centre.

And that's how batsmen not taking responsibility to see a chase home can overturn a 1.01. And a series win.
