The curious case of Rohit Sharma and Ishan Kishan and those calling me a hypocrite. One last explanation then you guys are free to assume whatever you want. Getting Ishan in 2022 for 15.25 crore was wrong. But once you decided he was so important you had to back him with that 8 crore retention bracket. He would have never said he wants to go to the auction pool for more money. About Rohit, I am very clear since 15 December 2023 that Rohit had to comtinue as MI captain. But if MI really wanted transition, they should have appointed SkY or Bumrah as successor and bid farewell to Rohit before 2025 mini auction. We are all emotional about what Rohit has done for MI and I still believe he is tactically the best captain in the league. But just as a pure batter 16.3 cr is too much. I did want him but now it feels ticking the box of an Indian wk opener would have made more sense. Anyway..mistakes happen..lets make the most of whatever we have now.

I think Rohit and Surya will play their last IPL season next year. Hardik’s fate will depend on his captaincy and performance which is unsatisfactory so far. Won’t be surprised if MI go for just one or two retentions in Bumrah and someone else. A big transition is coming soon.

Now it feels like I understand why Hardik Pandya is so dependent on Mahika Sharma and why he seems to be looking for love and support from her. It looks like his whole family is not really talking to him. Ever since his divorce from Natasa Stankovic, he hasn’t really been seen with his brother Krunal Pandya or his family for almost a year. But a few days ago, his ex-wife Natasa was seen with his mother. During yesterday’s match, he didn’t seem to talk to his brother, and they didn’t even shake hands after the game. It feels like Hardik Pandya is quite alone right now. Stay strong, Hardik Pandya… and Mahika Sharma, please don’t leave him like everyone else.
