Even with the loss vs Atlético Madrid, I'm still quite happy with Barcelona. Full of likeable players, a great coach and a bright future ahead. Next season fully depends on the big summer signings, I'd spend big on centre backs first and foremost, and try to get a budget striker for the time being.

I wish I was as optimistic as you are about the Remontada vs Atlético de Madrid. It's a 2 goal difference, not 1. Simeone isn't Emery. And, most importantly, it's at the Metropolitano, not a home game. We could score 2 or 3 goals, but I doubt we could avoid conceding.

I am genuinely shocked how many believe a comeback is impossible in the second leg. Atletico Madrid play result oriented football, meaning they will be pragmatic. That gives us an opportunity to gain momentum. Look what happened when they tried to defend a 4-0 lead. This Atletico Madrid side got quality, but it’s not one of the best teams in the world. That’s why we were better than them for large parts even with 10 men. A comeback would not even be surprising at all. We have done far greater things. Yes, it’s the Champions League, but it is also against an opponent we know.
