@CrimConOrg I can see that manual registration is a lot of work, but that makes me wonder even more why registration is necessary. Wouldn’t it be better for all parties to post the link to each session on your website? That would seem to widen access and save you work, too.

@SJacques83 @LessCrime I spent countless hours the last two years sending out login info because people wanted to register last minute. For security reasons, we send out a code for access. This requires people to register. I don’t think it’s too much to ask people to do so. -Dr. Ticknor

@LessCrime @CrimConOrg It’s a good question and I figured there’s a practical answer. Dr T, do you mind elaborating on your answer? I don’t quite understand what it means. To be clear for my part, I’m wondering why there’s not a public program? Or is there and I’m confused? Thanks for your service 🧡

@LessCrime Also, for the record, we don’t sell any data on registrants or use it for anything besides knowing how many people attended so we can plan for future conferences. We don’t even add anyone to our mailing list unless you specifically sign up for it.

@CrimConOrg If the point of the conference is to widen access to research, and given that registration is free, wouldn’t it make more sense to post the access information publicly? Maybe I’m missing something, but I don’t understand the need for a registration deadline.
