Man Facing Multiple Violent Charges Arrested For Breaching Bail A 45-year-old man already facing a series of violent charges has been arrested in Windsor after allegedly breaching his court-ordered bail conditions. Police say Randy Maracle, who is before the courts on multiple firearms-related offences, is also charged with four counts each of assault with a weapon, assaulting a peace officer, and resisting arrest. Additional charges include dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, impaired driving, and failure to comply with a release order. Maracle had been released on bail in September 2025 under strict conditions, including house arrest. According to authorities, bail compliance officers conducting routine monitoring determined that Maracle had violated those conditions. He was later located at a hotel in the 200 block of Riverside Drive West without his court-approved surety present. On March 12, 2026, at approximately 2 p.m., officers from the Windsor Police Service’s Offender Management Unit, with assistance from the Ontario Provincial Police-led Repeat Offender Parole Enforcement (ROPE) Squad, arrested Maracle without incident. He has since been charged with an additional count of failure to comply with a release order.

Rideshare Driver Charged In Sexual Assault Of Passenger Investigation Toronto police have arrested a Caledon man in connection with an alleged sexual assault involving a rideshare passenger near downtown earlier this year. According to the Toronto Police Service, officers responded to a call on February 24, 2026, in the Bloor Street West and Queen’s Park area. Investigators allege that a 21-year-old man had ordered a rideshare when the incident occurred. Police say the driver made a sexual comment during the trip before stopping the vehicle and moving into the back seat, where the alleged assault took place. The suspect then reportedly left the victim on a sidewalk and fled the scene in a grey Toyota Corolla. On March 18, authorities announced the arrest of 33-year-old Harsimranjot Dhillon of Caledon. He has been charged with Sexual assault. Investigators say they are concerned there may be additional victims and are urging anyone with information to come forward.

Canada Border Services Agency Deports Two Men Amid Crackdown On Organized Crime Canadian authorities are stepping up efforts to combat extortion and organized crime, with the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) reporting hundreds of ongoing immigration investigations tied to criminal networks. Officials say extortion continues to pose a serious threat to individuals, businesses, and communities nationwide. In response, the CBSA has intensified enforcement in collaboration with law enforcement partners, including the BC Extortion Task Force and the Alberta Law Enforcement Response Team, as well as local police services across Canada. Under Canada’s Immigration and Refugee Protection Act, individuals found to be involved in serious criminal activity can be deemed inadmissible and removed from the country. Police agencies refer such cases to the CBSA, which then conducts investigations that may lead to detention and deportation. Since August 2025, the CBSA has been formally tracking cases potentially linked to extortion, initially focusing on western regions before expanding to the Greater Toronto Area in November. As of March 12, 2026, the agency has launched 372 immigration investigations, issued 70 removal orders, and carried out 35 deportations. Authorities highlighted two recent cases as examples of their enforcement efforts: Arshdeep Singh, who entered Canada on a study permit in 2022, was arrested in November 2025 and later found inadmissible due to alleged ties to a criminal organization involved in extortion, arson, drug trafficking, and firearm offences. The Immigration and Refugee Board of Canada issued a deportation order in December, and he was removed from the country under escort on January 19, 2026. Sukhnaaz Singh Sandhu, a temporary resident since 2016, was also arrested in November 2025 and deemed inadmissible for organized criminality. Following a deportation order by the IRB, he remained in custody until his removal from Canada on February 3, 2026. The CBSA says investigations into individuals suspected of involvement in extortion-related activities are ongoing, and further enforcement actions are expected as cases are concluded.

🚨 BREAKING A Windsor woman was allegedly kidnapped, drugged, and sexually assaulted for nearly a week. And here’s the shocking part: the accused was already out on a RELEASE order and prohibited from possessing weapons. Despite those conditions, this woman still suffered through this horrific crime, another shocking sign out justice system is failing to keep repeat offenders from striking again. When dangerous offenders are released back onto our streets, it is innocent Canadians who pay the price. That must change. Our justice system must put the safety of victims and communities first — not continue giving violent offenders chance after chance.
