@kunoichi_jp_ It was a mix of things, honestly. Maybe it began with anime, but growing up I didn't know that Pokémon, Yu-Gi-Oh or Digimon were considered anime, but it was always there in my life. I think there was one anime that made me really want to learn more about Japan: Hikaru no Go.

@Manga_Kamen And kinetic VNs where you don't make any choices at all? Witch on the Holy Night is a good example- you don't make any choices in the main story at all, but I still found it very engaging.

@Crimson_Spade The game is still asking you to input something - and depending on the visual novel, those choices/decisions can lead to fail states. It's still asking you to do something other than watching, and you can still have an effect on the game.

@LavenderGhast You're just... Wrong. Nintendo doesn't buy studios only to shut them down later. A $50 increase due to the price of memory and RAM shooting up from a stupid AI gold rush is nothing compared to the $100+ increase of the competition. Do you not pay attention?

I want to know what power Nintendo used to gain so much good will that they can be the worst combination of EA and Ubisoft but maintain an image of purity. Is it really just releasing enough cutesy games that people think of you as friendly and not corporate suits.

I feel as if animation has regressed in a lot of ways. Moments like this felt genuinely fluid, dynamic, and alive, especially in subtle character moments: the care in small gestures, weight shifts, and micro-expressions that gave scenes personality. Nowadays, many animation studios reserve their best animators for and pour their budget into intergalactic epic boss fight spectacles with 10000 fps, while small interactions look stiff, limited, and rigid.

@arrobamartinmp You do not need 10 hours to get a battle ready Pokémon in Scarlet or Violet. Maybe half an hour to EV train a whole team, then bottle caps to get their stats hyper trained.

"Both are a grind" My brother in christ just play the game. 300VP per win without counting streaks, is one of the most f2p systems I've ever seen. Plus if you don't wanna grind on champions just train on normal pokemon games, you will just need idk 10h to get a perfect mon?

Battle Pass done. Missions done. Just Achievements and battles to get VP now and both are a grind. Once I'm done with my surplus, then we have a problem Classic mobile game strategy of overloading at first, then having it be harder to get as standard.
