I am absolutely not telling any club where they should play home fixtures.
But it is striking how different Australian sporting culture is to UK sporting culture when home games are split between venues.

Make some room, Roosters fans. The South Sydney Rabbitohs, Venues NSW and the NSW Government have reached agreement on a split of home games for the Club over the next four seasons, with a gradual increase of games at Allianz Stadium. Rabbitohs Chairman, Nicholas Pappas AM said, “This is a landmark moment for our club. This new deal ensures more matches at our spiritual home at Allianz Stadium while retaining our historical connection to Accor Stadium, where we have seen so much success. Both venues are an important part of our club’s history and future, and this new deal is a win for our Members and fans who will get to see more home matches in Sydney.”

You see people in Wakey shirts in Ryhill, then drive down the green to Royston or shafton and they disappear….. it’s bizzare.
Yet there is plenty of Barnsley FC fans in South Wakefield.

@SteveMascord While I understand the point here the truth is people in Darton absolutely know RL exists lol. I have mates from Darton who've played for Dodworth, 3 mile up the road. The bloke whos single handedly turned Trinity around is from Barnsley.

If you get what I mean ... in Oz or America we just don't have things that people do in our town regularly that people in the next town or suburb don't. So we can't really understand how rugby league is positioned in this country unless we understand that.

Still four weeks to go until the new Super League season starts. Not much to watch on telly on a Friday night in January, lots of League fans would be interested in watching Salford v Oldham but they can’t. It’s baffling there’s no easy way to watch the Championship.

I much prefer the older stadiums and I hope you enjoy your championship tour as much as Wakey did. Batley away is much better than Warrington away.

If Richard Harris came back from the dead he'd look at Belle Vue and recognise it from when he filmed This Sporting Life there in 1963

Let’s never forget that the RFL made us move from the Willows as it wasn’t fit for SL, when other clubs weren’t forced to do the same. Pure corruption which set us on this pathway to oblivion.
