Our sleep is divided into 2 sections: Rapid eye movement & nonrapid (or slow) eye movement. REM sleep allows us to dream. NREM provides rest for the body, mind, and soul!

It's surprising how many people neglect sleep when they are spending money on training and supplementation. Sleep is just as important for your overall health, if not more so than all of the high-quality food we eat or the supplements we use.

The more you practice, the quicker your learning curve will be. But if sleep isn't optimal then learning will be sub-optimal and this will affect how much progress they make in their training.

When you secrete adrenaline, your body becomes all pumped up and ready to go. When this happens it releases adenosine which makes people tired; meanwhile melatonin builds up in the opposite direction- making them sleepy. _

One thing that may be impeding your sleep is eating before bed. You should avoid having any food or drink an hour before going into slumber because this will make it harder for the body to fall asleep at night.
