If you know administrator or secretary responsible for building coverage for teachers who are in-person, some hybrid, some in person but out sick, etc...and who has to figure out the quantum physics of coverage on a daily basis... ...be nice to them. 🥵

Admin, are you asking these questions to your staff? How are you doing? Are you taking care of yourself? How is your family? How can I best support you right now? Ask these sincerely, listen intently, and respond appropriately.

Here is the mindset I adopt when speaking with parents who don’t speak English. I ask them if I need and interpreter. I ask because I am the one in need of assistance. They are perfectly capable of communicating. I need the help.
