A boy threw chocolate milk into an aquarium, now staff are facing the consequences. On May 12, 2025, during a school field trip, a young boy wandered off while no one was paying attention and ended up near one of the tanks. For some reason, he decided it would be a good idea to pour chocolate milk into the water. When staff later asked him why, he simply said the fish “looked thirsty.” At first, nothing really seemed wrong. But by the next day, things started to change. Some of the fish weren’t eating anymore. They were slower, less active, and clearly off. That’s when staff realized the chocolate milk had done more than they expected. Because chocolate milk was never part of their intake to begin with. Now the staff had to step in and deal with something they’d never planned for. In the back of the aquarium, they began isolating the fish, running tests, and even using small controlled amounts to understand how the chocolate milk was affecting them and how to adjust their diet back to normal.
