@SabirahLohn I have visited the Vatican, the Duomo in Florence, St. Paul’s, Westminster Abbey; yet the closest I feel to God and spirituality is when I’m staring at an ocean or the Canadian Rocky Mountains (which I’m fortunate to live just an hour away from).

She’s also one of those people that would force her children to go to church and ground them if they didn’t. She knows absolutely nothing and anyone with this stance and this holier than thou attitude are the last people I would be taking advice from. You have no idea what you are talking about. Worry about yourself.

How many people were told to go to church every Sunday or were not allowed to go outside if they didn’t. How many of those people now stand clear away from the church because they feel like it was done forcefully not because they wanted to. Everyone should be allowed to approach religion and church service the way they want. Besides, some of these people that go to church all the time are the biggest hypocrites. That’s not saying everyone is, but there is a huge chunk of people. Let me also make it clear. The King approaches religion and church the way he chooses and Prince William is doing the same. I applaud William for this.

Prince William has shared more about his faith, and I have conflicting thoughts. It’s great that he sees the benefit of the church and has a “quiet faith”, but it’s troubling he doesn’t feel the need to attend or express and share his beliefs. Church attendance and being part of a community of faith is part of being Christian, in addition to evangelizing (i.e. talking about your faith and salvation with others). He either truly believes or it’s just a tradition that he thinks should continue but his personal faith journey will remain minimal. This doesn’t work as the head of the church. If he’s going to take the mantle as Head of the Church of England, then the Christian faith and practice must be essential to your life. If the Head of the Church doesn’t see the benefit of weekly attendance, then why would anyone else? The church would, in that situation, would die. thetimes.com/article/677fe4…
