Almost a decade ago, I started @WasabiStables . Candidly, when it all started it was a heavy "TK Show". It was my childhood dream to do this. It was me trying to satisfy something I always wanted to do. Because @Ms_PeKu is an amazing wife, she let me chase that dream. She really didn't understand it or even know what it meant. My family came along for that early journey and let me jump off the bridge. A decade later, this is 100% a family affair now. Michele is vital to every aspect of Wasabi Ventures Stables. All four kids understand that this is a legacy effort for themselves and their families. They are not only true believers, the family is integrated to all of our efforts. As much, at the end of last year and after discussions with Michele, we decided to make a change in our silks. We wanted to show that this is not a TK Show, but a family affair. I am terrible at design, so switching from the old silks on a design basis was not hard! Our new design, which involved the quarterbacking work of Michele and the input of our whole family, trainers, and staff, is meant to be one that can become classic. We think it tells a story of where we have been, where we are, and where we are going. We hope to be debuting the new silks at the @keeneland spring meet and in a winner's circle soon.

A story about John Sherriffs that I'll never forget. The day after Zenyatta lost at the Breeders' Cup we drove along the fence row on the backside of Churchill. I had seen on Twitter that the barn Zenyatta was in was visible from the road so we decided to take a shot before we left town. We found the barn and Shirreffs was out there, but with a different horse. We parked the car and went and asked him if Zenyatta was going to be out anytime soon. He said no, that she had just been out, and probably wouldn’t come back out until the afternoon. We said thanks and started talking to him and asking questions and stuff. We told him we were from Missouri and had to leave and get back home. He went to the barn and told us to hang on a minute he’d be right back. He returned with Zenyatta. Brought her up to the fence and let us see her for a while. Brought the exercise rider over and he talked to us for a long time. The Racing Dudes didn't even exist at that time. We didn’t really know much to be honest. Him doing that meant everything at the time. It was truly one of the best days of my life in racing. Fast forward a few years. Racing Dudes was born and the horse you see in the logo was inspired by none other than Zenyatta. Safe to say that John Sherriffs certainly made an impact in our lives and even possible without him and Zenyatta, Racing Dudes would have never happened. Thanks for everything, John.🙏🏼
