And honestly, the only reason things ended up this way is because Demon Souls isn’t Dark Souls. They don’t have the same level of popularity If they did this with DARK SOULS 1 I guarantee FromSoftware would’ve imploded- Demon Souls (R) was basically a PS5 test dummy

The Demon Souls remake for me is that game. It looks disconnected from other Souls games and abandons a lot of the charm in which the original game had. In an attempt to seem modern, it loses its spirit, environment storytelling and signature “Souls” feeling. It’s generic.

Sometimes I don’t have much faith in remakes because there’s a chance the new development team will completely miss what made the original game so special to begin with.
