EOY TIP... The brain has a negativity bias. It’s wired to scan for threats and problems because, for most of human history, that kept you alive. Modern life removed a lot of immediate danger, but it didn’t remove the wiring. So the same system turns inward. With no clear enemy, it invents one. That’s how the bias becomes worry, rumination, and anxiety. Do not waste that bias trying to “think positive.” Redirect it. Do hard things on purpose. Take on projects that force decisions, discomfort, and accountability. Step into actual conflict, and you will have less room for imaginary conflict. Your mind will search for problems either way. Make sure it finds problems that build your life, instead of problems that only drain it.
