🇲🇰🇷🇸 A pro-Serbia march was held today in Kumanova/o, North Macedonia. Organizers said the gathering was intended to show support for Vucic's policies for the Balkans. Serb nationalist and anti-Kosovo songs were heard during the march. The Macedonian opposition accused the government of getting closer with Serbia and being behind the event.

Boris I let the creators of the Cyrillic alphabet in his state becasue they were expelled from elsewhere. They didn't come there becasue of any other reason. So in essence it's a geographical, not ethnical or any other logic.

@BiankaB12 Cyrillic wasn’t “born Bulgarian” in isolation. Cyril and Methodius created the Glagolitic form, and most Cyrillic letter forms come from Greek. It’s more accurate to call it a geographical–historical origin within that state, not an exclusive ethnic one.

The Cyrillic script traces its' origin to 893 AD in the First Bulgarian Empire. Each year, on May 24th, Bulgaria has a dedicated holiday. And each year, Russia tries to undermine it (this year is no exception). Why? Because you can’t convincingly pose as civilisational big brother otherwise. Hence, Russia had slowly smeared, blurred, and rebranded the origin story of the Cyrillic script until people just vaguely feel that “Cyrillic = Russian”. The goal is origin control: if Moscow can package Cyrillic and Orthodoxy as fundamentally “theirs,” then every nation using that script and tradition becomes, in their ideological framework, a wayward branch of the same tree.
