We’ve noticed a number of questions regarding AirDrop eligibility and the requirements needed to qualify for automated distribution. To qualify, participants are only required to connect either: • A valid CEX account from our list of supported exchanges, or • A Web3 wallet that supports SPL tokens. ✍️ Something we discussed this week was how blockchain is starting to influence infrastructure markets, especially in the context of the next industrial revolution. We keep noticing that blockchain is still mostly perceived either as crypto transfers or as a place where “NFTs and data are stored.” But in practice, it’s becoming a coordination layer between participants without the need for a middleman. Tried mapping this directly onto the DeNet architecture through a simple sketch. In a traditional cloud model, there’s always a third party between participants: the provider controls access, infrastructure, interaction rules, and ultimately the trust model itself. In our architecture, these relationships are coordinated by the protocol through smart contracts. Because of that, the interaction model itself starts to change: • no dependency on a single participant, • control over data stays entirely with the client, • scaling across countries and jurisdictions becomes simpler, • interactions between parties become faster. Overall, it’s much more interesting than just “storing data on blockchain” 😉 Blockchain is only one of the coordination and verification layers inside a much larger system.

The network is more reliable than it's ever been as our success rates and core performance metrics have increased across the board. This is a result of improvements to our detection and filtering capabilities that remove bots, bad actors, and low quality nodes from the network. Our efforts to prevent bad actors from gaming the system have led to stronger and more sustainable network performance. Our goal has always been simple: reward real users who support the network with bandwidth that the network can actually use. Real rewards for real users.

DeNet Storage Beta: Field Report - Part 3 Testing on @peaq continues. Last session focused on search functionality and retrieval performance. Here’s the breakdown: 1. Daily Tasks ✅ Search Functionality: Used the search bar to locate specific files. The indexing is fast and responsive. ✅ Download 5 Files: Successfully retrieved 5 files to complete the daily requirement. 2. Retrieval Performance & Technical Feedback I tested the download speed with 5 small files (ranging from 230 KB to 470 KB). Batch Download Issue: My initial attempt to download all 5 files simultaneously failed. The system couldn't process the collective request. Individual Downloads: After the batch fail, I downloaded the files one by one. Performance: Speeds varied between 23 and 120 seconds per file. It’s worth noting that I was on a rather slow 5G connection during this test, which likely contributed to the latency, but the overhead for small files remains noticeable. 3. Bug Detection: Character Encoding I encountered a specific error where one file could not be downloaded at all. Observation: The filename contained brackets / parentheses (). Hypothesis: It’s likely a bug in how the system handles special characters in file paths or metadata. This is a critical fix needed for universal file compatibility. Verdict:The UI remains smooth, but the "Batch Download" failure and the special character bug show that the retrieval logic needs more stability. Reporting these technical details to @DeNetPro to help fine-tune the experience on @peaq.

@TakElSayed @peaq I had the same problem with downloads. Batch download didn't work at all, and it took roughly 20–25 single download attempts to finally succeed. Didn’t exactly enjoy the experience. Hopefully they’ll fix it soon.

DeNet Storage Beta: Field Report - Part 1 The @DeNetPro Storage Beta has been running since yesterday (May 4); here's what's happened so far: The Start & Daily Tasks The beta officially launched, and today there were three daily tasks to complete: ✅ Create a folder ✅ Upload 1 file > 10 MB (my 13-MB test file) ✅ Upload 5 photos If three tasks were already available yesterday, I missed them because I didn’t update the app until today. Performance Tracking I uploaded a video that was 13.06 MB in size. The result: About 48 seconds to complete the upload and encryption. Uploading the 5 images also took just under a minute. The app handles the upload and encryption of the file seamlessly. It doesn’t happen instantly, but it’s a solid foundation for a decentralized, encrypted storage layer. The Incentive Structure & Gamification The beta is based on a daily reward system with ongoing tasks and streaks: 3-Day Activity: 33% complete (1/3 days). 7-Day Activity: 14% complete (1/7 days). Feedback Once you've finished the tasks, you can provide feedback right away which makes perfect sense to catch impressions immediately. The Verdict so far The user interface is clear and the onboarding process is smooth. #DePIN is no longer just about whitepapers; it’s about these daily interactions where decentralized infrastructure proves it can process our data block by block. DeNet Storage Beta: Field Report - Part 2 Testing on @peaq continues. Here’s an overview of my latest progress and some critical feedback: 1. Daily Tasks ✅ Rename 5 files: Quick and easy management. ✅ Direct upload from the camera: I uploaded a photo using the “Take Photo” option. Performance: The upload took 25 seconds. 2. Ongoing Tasks ✅ 3-Day Series: I successfully accessed the storage on 3 consecutive days. ✅ Sync & Download: Imported my account to a second smartphone, verified the sync, and downloaded a file. The process went completely smoothly. 3. Achievements 🏆 4/10 achievements unlocked: Just unlocked the “Organization Fanatic” badge. The task: Cleaned up the root directory and created a 20-level folder structure. Smooth user experience, no issues with deep hierarchies. 4. The 1 GB Upload (The Stress Test) I tried to push the limits with a 1 GB file. Duration: The process took over 2.5 hours. The result: In the end, the app reported a successful upload with no error messages. However, the file is missing from the directory. Feedback: For a decentralized storage layer, handling large files is the ultimate test. Small files work great, but the “ghost upload” of larger files needs to be fixed. Once again, I was able to provide immediate feedback, which I really appreciate. It feels good to be involved this early on and to play a small part in the development process. @DeNetPro @peaq
