@mayazi @paddi_hansen definitely a double edged sword. KYC/AML allows institutions to engage in the space. However the road to compliance is paving over truly frictionless on/off ramps for people vulnerable to censorship and tyranny. “chainalysis is already tracking you” isnt a great justification.

all the big tech "self custody" are not on the par with crypto native self custody wallets & I don't mean on the tech side, but the data. Every tech crypto wallet essentially creates & incentivizes linkage between platform verified identity & an on-chain wallet for KYC/AML

AVAX also gives institutions the ability to have white glove subnets that are KYC/AML compliant. The ability to select a validator set allows regulated entities to significantly reduce their potential exposure to sanctioned wallets while establishing a presence on chain.
