Gm gm 👋 As part of our commitment to network decentralization, we are delighted to announce the open-sourcing of two critical components of zkSync Era. These components will now be entrusted to our dedicated community of core contributors: Block Explorer ✅ Portal (Bridge) ✅ Decentralization Contrary to common misconceptions, decentralization isn’t a final destination. Rather, it’s a vital means to a greater end, as outlined in the ZK Credo. It upholds the core values of freedom, inclusivity, and trustlessness for all network participants. Decentralization is the result of progressively reducing Matter Labs' role in both the development of the zkSync technology and the stewardship of its ecosystem. From the very inception of Matter Labs, the vision has always been to incubate, launch, and ultimately decentralize the zkSync protocol and ZK Stack. In a recent development, we proudly announced that Matter Labs is stepping back from its role in managing the rapidly expanding ecosystem by handing over the reins to DappRadar. x.com/zksync/status/… In another step toward decentralization, the zkSync Block Explorer and Portal will also embark on the same path. Portal The zkSync Portal was already open source, allowing the community to run it on their own computers. But we're taking another step forward in our journey towards decentralization. Starting today, @TxFusion_io will deploy their user-friendly interface, enabling users to seamlessly bridge tokens in and out of zkSync Era. They will also provide an interface for viewing transactions and asset transfers within the Era blockchain. This move is another significant stride in reducing Matter Labs' role, especially given that the portal serves as the primary gateway for users to access and interact with the protocol. x.com/txfusion_io/st… Block Explorer The primary interface for users and developers to explore transactions, blocks, and contracts is now fully open source, enabling the community to run it locally if they choose to do so. This move towards opening up the field for block explorers is an exciting step. We believe it will inspire developers to introduce innovative features that the current explorer does not yet support. Each team will approach this differently, catering to various use cases. This underscores the importance of having multiple explorers. Starting today, two prominent blockchain explorers, @blockscoutcom and @l2scan, will integrate with zkSync Era, and allow users to access chain data. Discover more information on available solutions We are launching a dedicated resource page to assist users and developers in adopting these alternative solutions, along with other bridges and exchanges. This ensures that everyone can easily onboard to zkSync Era. zksync.io/explore
