@Davidgoba_ No estoy de acuerdo. Personalmente no quiero formar parte de ninguna élite. Lo único que quiero es poder disfrutar (ya que humildemente creo que de eso se trata) de una máquina y unos juegos que en sí momento estaban al alcance de muy pocos.

Otra “VERDAD INCÓMODA": me hace gracia la gente que dice llevar "20 años esperando" una AES. Fue ver cómo subía el precio de los juegos y entraros las prisas por sentiros elitistas. Seamos sinceros, si no fuesen juegos caros, nadie tendría ese sueño.

Another addition to the MVS collection, Mutation nation. There aren't many beat-em-ups on the MVS, but imo, this is definitely one of the best! Yes there are games like sengoku 3, but this game just feels more gritty & "arcade" & I love it! #neogeo #snk #arcade #retrogaming

What makes it fundamentally different from other mini-style retro revivals like the Famicom, Mega Drive, or PC Engine is that this is not a closed, temporary commemorative product — it is a full-fledged revived hardware platform that can also run original past software. I think it is fair to say this is not just a revival, but a new NEOGEO updated for the modern era. In other words, I see it not as a monument meant only for nostalgia, but as a product with a future. If all you want is to play old NEOGEO titles, you can already get them cheaply through ACA NEOGEO. That is why I believe this new NEOGEO is laying the groundwork for the release of new games. If it were only meant to provide an environment for playing old software, ACA NEOGEO already exists, so there would be little reason to make it compatible with cartridges. In fact, SNK is currently recruiting pixel artists. The job listing says they are looking for people who can draw monsters and mecha — could that mean a new King of the Monsters? There was also an announcement hinting at a new Metal Slug. It may also help ignite indie game development for NEOGEO, just as has happened on other platforms. And I also find myself hoping that this could even lead to the return of the MVS in arcades. Game hardware has advanced too far and has reached a point of diminishing returns. I feel that it may be time to stop chasing technological progress for its own sake and shift toward a more balanced direction. The MVS (NEOGEO) was an enormously successful system. If SNK had not gone bankrupt, I believe there could have been a very different future. This release of the NEOGEO AES+ may become the branching point that lets us glimpse the future in which SNK never went bankrupt. When you think of it that way, doesn’t it make you excited? I’m extremely excited. I hope there are people all around the world who can share this feeling with me.
