Some personal news* - After nearly 5 years, I’ve made the decision to step down from my role as Chief Strategy Officer of @AvaLabs. This comes after a lengthy period of conversations and reflection. Officially, and for the past several months, I’ve been transitioning out of my responsibilities and preparing for a new chapter.
Since joining in early 2021, just months after Avalanche's mainnet launch, when our team was a lean group of ~20 people, @avax has been my home, my passion, and a defining part of my career. We've delivered countless upgrades, scaled a network attracting billions in capital across more than 80 chains, brought major banks, asset managers, and enterprises onchain, powered gaming ecosystems, and fostered a vibrant community. I'm proud of what we've built together and the role I was able to play in it.
I will forever be grateful to all the people at Ava Labs and the broader Avalanche ecosystem but in particular @el33th4xor, @John1wu, @kevinsekniqi and @JohnNahas84 for the opportunities to grow both personally and professionally. It's a rare privilege to contribute to such a talented team driven by an ambitious mission.
As for Avalanche, I remain a believer in the technology, the opportunity, and many of my colleagues. I’ll continue observing, building, advising where valuable, and supporting from the sidelines. I plan to complete my non-operating term as one of the Board Directors for the Avalanche Foundation, which concludes in a few months.
As for what’s next, for now I'm pausing to recharge. I’ll be catching up on precious family time (including with our third child, now six months old) and investing in myself a bit. I have and will continue having conversations about where I’m best positioned to contribute to this industry, perhaps as a founder or in another role. I remain as optimistic as ever that blockchains will transform the internet and I intend to contribute my energy towards that future. Stay tuned!

It's been enough time...
I deleted twitter off my phone for a while. I literally had randoms calling me threatening me.
that was enough.
I had a personal situation a couple months ago.
I haven't been "paid" by a company in a very long time. I've been mostly living off my own trading gains while trying to build shit here.
For a brief period, my $JUICY holdings were worth multiple 7-figures.
Didn't sell.
I can't speak for others on the team, but I didn't sell anything at all at the top.
Then, at what I thought was the bottom, I spoke to a person offering Salvor loans about how to handle a situation. They made a verbal agreement. I thought we understood each other, but apparently we didn't.
It's fine. people are people, and we just move forward.
I didn't intend to default, but they kind of gave me no choice.
I also didn't have a choice about the money either. I needed the money and it was non-negotiable.
Now I have spent weeks listening to people call me a scammer and a rugger when I have worked 80+ hours most weeks for over a year on a project.
We can have a conversation about how most of you don't understand startups. And we can also talk about how I'm not perfect. All of that is fine.
But I haven't left. And $JUICY is going to be huge.
It's a weird moment, and these moments are opportunity.
I've been so frustrated at "the community™" for actually being retards that I hesitate to say anything.
At the end of the day, juicy isn't a defi protocol. If I go out and create value in the world via whatever means, I don't actually owe any of you anything.
We raised like $35k or something in the presale which we had to spend a big chunk of to recover the price bc almost everyone jeeted on launch.

Apparently a small oopsie on @BlackholeDex has caused some users to lose funds.
When they enabled native avax + erc20 LP adds, they overlooked a small part of the documentation when implementing the front end integration.
As a result, anyone opening an LP that way was at risk of losing money unnecessarily. If you had a small slippage set, this risk would be mitigated (not eliminated). But apparently some users are well regarded and did not.
Either way, this has resulted in a small leakage of funds from many users, as well as a few notable big losses. I put the 100A+ ones in the screenshot below.
Credit to @crypto_glennl for raising this to me (he was a victim, also a regard with 99.99% slippage).
