Threadguy thinks the next viral influencers will be onchain traders who stream
"I think there's going to be a lot of very famous crypto traders and onchain traders that start infiltrating mainstream platforms. These guys are gonna get really popular if they're willing to put their face out there and make the kind of content that works on TikTok."
"I'm not saying it's good or bad. I'm just telling you what I see. I think some of these guys are gonna get really, really popular, and it's already starting to accelerate."
"I saw Rowdy the other day go live on Twitch with like 1,500 people. If you're pulling those kinds of numbers while trading onchain, you're becoming a mainstream internet personality."

Threadguy reveals his game theory for dating a girl who's a matchmaker
"I met this girl, she came up to me and she was going for it. We were doing a little flirting, a little laughing, she was into it. Then she mentioned she was working on a new business. She said she's a matchmaker. I was like, 'What?'"
"The obvious next thing to ask was, are you any good? She said she hadn't found a match ever. I hit her with the 'I wouldn't mind being the first' before I left."
"She gave me her number, and later she double-texted me a link. It was her matchmaking service, telling me to sign up for a consultation. So now me and her are going on a Zoom call at the end of the week."
"I was thinking I should go through the matchmaking service properly, recruit her as a wingman, and see what she can put together. Then, if I go 0-3, I'll fall back and say, 'We should actually go on a date.' 4 for the price of 3. If you go game theory on this, you're obviously going on the dates and then swinging it back."

Threadguy says LA felt like a ghost town the first time he came back after moving to NYC "I went back to LA for the first time since I left, and I'm gonna be honest, it's a ghost town. I was staying in Santa Monica on a Friday night, walking around at 9 PM trying to get dinner, and there was nobody there" "The streets were empty. It honestly felt like everyone had left. There's just no comparison to walking around Manhattan on a Friday night versus being in Santa Monica"

Threadguy says the EA boycott could set a dangerous precedent for GTA 6 microtransactions
"The boycott actually won. EA removed the paid progression options, which, in my opinion, is a massive deal. I don't know if we've really seen something like this before, where a coordinated backlash forced a game publisher to back down on microtransactions."
"That's why I think it's important with GTA 6 around the corner. Rockstar makes a ton of money from selling copies of the game, but the real revenue comes from the microtransaction casino. I've spent hundreds of dollars on GTA 5 after buying the game."
"If EA has set the precedent that if gamers get angry enough, companies will cut back on microtransactions. What's gonna happen when GTA 6 launches what is basically a casino inside the online game? I'm not sure that's gonna go over well."

Threadguy says America is losing elite athletes because youth sports are too expensive
"The biggest problem with American sports is they are way too expensive. To play travel basketball at the level that I played, my parents were spending like $5,000 or $6,000 a year. People just can't afford that."
"If Erling Haaland was an American, he'd probably be a Division III basketball player. Travel soccer in the U.S. is so expensive that kids end up playing whatever sport is the most accessible instead of the one they're best at."
"That's why I think it's hurting our athletes. So much talent never gets the chance to develop because the system is simply too expensive."

Steve loses $3,300,000 betting on World Cup matches
"We lost $2 million on Mexico winning, plus another $400,000 on tickets and flights. Then my Ronaldo bet put us down another $2.4 million. I had a $420,000 Plan B to bet on the USA, but we lost that too. Plan B failed"
"I have to give up $1.1 million in watches. We're down to about $1 million left in ammo, so we're putting $400,000 on a parlay: Argentina and Colombia to win in 90 minutes"
"I'm gonna blindly bet $400,000, go to the spa, watch the Minions movie, and I'll find out later if I won or lost. We lost that"

Mike Majlak changes a homeless man's entire month by giving him $500
"My family passed away years ago in a car accident, and I kind of lost it. I ended up living in my car, so I'm really sorry for being here."
"You don't need to be sorry. How long does $100 last you? Two weeks? Here's enough money so you'll have food for another seven and a half weeks."
"I was praying for this, and then all of a sudden you guys showed up. Thank you. I'm finally gonna have a full tank of gas and a full stomach every night for a month."

Orangie says he went deeper into debt buying Iman Gadzhi and Tom Cruise's courses before making it
"I was trying everything. I even went further into debt to buy Iman Gadzhi's social media marketing course, and that's how I learned how to build an SMMA. I spent like five grand on Tom Cruise's Section 8 course. I tried affiliate marketing, dropshipping, literally every side hustle. I was trying to fail as fast as possible until I found what worked."
"We were super broke. My parents legally immigrated from Cuba to Italy, where I was born, and then we immigrated from Italy to the U.S. Growing up, $10,000 felt like a life-changing amount of money. That's why I was willing to try anything to build something for myself."
