Macron is very right. We must respect the sovereignty of the people. If they do not like their government, they can rise up and change it themselves. Foreign countries should not bomb a sovereign nation with planes and guns. Look at Iraq, Afghanistan, and Libya — it never works and only makes things worse. The invaded country will remember and get revenge when it becomes strong one day. We need peace, not more wars.

But I don’t believe that we will fix the situation just by bombings or by military operations. Look at what happened with this type of operation in Iraq, in Afghanistan, in Libya — we never delivered. Never. Even after 20 years. So you have to respect the sovereignty of people. If people want to change a regime, they want to react, step up, they can do so.
