"the united states knew nothing about this attack." israel hit south pars without US approval. the coalition isn't coordinated. 2. the chain of tonight's escalation is now clear. israel hits south pars. iran assumes qatar was involved. iran retaliates by hitting ras laffan LNG. qatar expels iranian diplomats. all in 12 hours. 3. trump just threatened to destroy the entirety of south pars if iran hits qatar again. south pars holds 8% of global proven gas reserves. that threat alone reprices every LNG and nat gas contract on earth. the scariest part: israel is making moves washington didn't authorise, and trump has now pre-committed to a response trigger he doesn't fully control.
