Positives: Coach Jacobson's buyout is pennies compared to the other rumored head coaches: Mark Madsen and Eric Olen. Utah State can now take that $3+ million from Calhoun and reinvest it into our team. I hope that Coach Jacobson's first objective is to find the cost to retain our current roster of studs, and then begin to fill out the team after that. Celebrate, Aggies.

I don’t like criticizing hires before they’ve actually coached a game, but why did we seemingly make a hire that didn’t fall into either of these popular or proven categories:
-“safe hire” with Utah ties, will stay forever
-proven winner with recent success in a small conference
