When I joined Topshot in May 2021, I never expected my collection to be led by these grails in 2026. If I can do it, so can you. #ChaseTheGrail @NBATopShot

Looking forward to hooking up Juan with a Slab. Well done @LeviDobrinski @NBATopShot
Levi Dobrinski@LeviDobrinski

**NEW @nbatopshot collector Alert** Onboarded Juan from section 330 to TopShot (juanokie-ts) at the last OKC Thunder game. We are going to make & post a video later this week and I will walk him through the process of buying a pack, collecting, etc. He seems serious about collecting, so I am hooking him up a Chet Legendary to put in his first @CryptoSlabs (A special thanks to them for their generous offer of a slab for a new onboard at Game 1). If you feel generous he is a fan of the @okcthunder of course, and Russel Westbrook. TopShot: juanokie

🧵 Alright, quick story time. There isn't one person or group to fault for the Jalen Green dunk contest idea going south but it was almost instantly the most disappointing thing I've ever been a part of.
Steve 🏀@intangible_eth

It takes a first follower to validate a crazy idea. @NBATopShot putting a video necklace on Jalen Green in the dunk contest felt cringe at the time. Now that @PrimeVideo is copying the hardware, Top Shot's original idea looks sane. They weren't wrong, just early.

This only excites me. Would I have been literally over-the-moon to see him wear an iced out CryptoSlab with a @NBATopShot Moment…of course! But bigger picture shows that there are increasingly more opportunities for digital collectibles to reach mainstream audiences. Bridging the gap with physical displays or wearables is essential

Ok, I’ve already seen enough posts like these that I gotta speak my mind. -1) if you see a post like this, or made a post like this please know- THEY/YOU ARE COMPLETELY MISSING THE POINT. Should @NBATopShot collectors allow themselves to be excited about this? ABSOLUTELY! None of the ~million (?) people that were watching this give a rats ass if it’s a panini, or a TS moment. If you think that matters, GO TOUCH GRASS. All this did was completely validate me explaining to someone how awesome digital collectibles are next time I’m in the card shop. They saw this too. Someone at Prime video got approval from someone who makes really expensive decisions to make a chain featuring a box that loops video highlights, and put it on Lamelo Ball during his post game interview after a massive game. They didn’t put a Lamelo card on the chain, which they could have done just as easily. They put a video on it. Why not put a card? Could it be that video offers more? Nobody’s gonna get rich from this obviously. You have to zoom out. You need to see big picture- re-read this post if you need to. In a world of chronically online people, I’m not surprised that people are able to find something negative about this. But to those of us that do go to the card shop, or card shows- bet your ass this will be a fun conversation for us to have! 2- JBond. Topshot literally did do this. An NBA player wore a moment DURING THE DUNK CONTEST. Companies can’t control how a population views something like that. They can simply show it. 3- people saying something like “wHaT a L tHaT TS diDnt CoLlaB fOr tHiS” LOLOLOL did you want someone from TS to magically know that this was gonna happen? Hop into a big cargo jet like Bane, jump out of it, parachuting down into the Prime Basketball office and intercepting the one used at the last second and replacing it with a “moment” (that ZERO people would have known the difference of). Also where in the hell do yall think that the person who pitched this got the idea from? 🤦‍♂️🤯❤️🚀 I’m actually a clown for typing all this out. I have nothing to prove. I don’t care. People would think I’m Dapper VIP at the rate I try to promote TS. I just get tired of lazy posts and people completely missing the point. It’s ok to smile and accept a win.

LaMelo Ball just received a Prime Playmaker Chain from @PrimeVideo containing his game-winner video from today’s NBA Play-In game vs. Miami Heat This is what @NBATopShot should have been doing to onboard NBA players into NFTs back in the day 😭

Imagine if that was an animated #PaniniBlockchain card or a TS. Real ones know that “diamond”-studded flip on top (à la Peyton forehead) is a hack to reduce the aspect ratio of the screen down from 2:1 to 7:5, into a trading card. Crazy that at today’s technology and @JeffBezos @amazon funding/backing, one cannot produce a true screen of 3.5 by 2.5, but have to use an “infinite object”-like hideous ratio and a hack like that. PS: Really happy to have picked up LaMelo’s PBC Prizm debut 2/3 card (jersey number) a couple months ago, as LaMelo really came to his own and started to showcase his highly touted promise back then, in eliminating Heats in Play-in with a clutch layup and getting the second highest 3’s made this season in NBA.
