Israel’s military says it hit several armed groups in Gaza City that were planning attacks on its soldiers.
Fighter jets, guided by Israeli intelligence, struck sites said to contain explosives and mortars.
1 Israeli soldier was lightly hurt after a mortar hit near his unit.
The IDF called it a “rapid closing of the circle,” their version of catching attackers before they get the chance to strike.

This morning, 23 year old Sundus Shalabi—8 months pregnant—was shot dead by Israeli forces in Tulkarem's Nour Shams Camp while trying to leave with her husband Yazan, who was critically injured.
