This evening I tried something different. I went around replying randomly under posts, just to see if I could get more visibility. Then I realized something. On every big post you comment on, everyone is focused on just one person, the owner of the page. Nobody is really looking at you. And honestly, I felt empty. I’m saying this to encourage every small creator. There is power in growing with your mutuals. With your people, you are seen, you are heard, you are supported. But chasing attention everywhere on your own can be exhausting, and it may take longer to grow. I’m not saying don’t reply to posts you like. Do it. But if that’s all you’re doing, hoping for a shoutout, you might struggle for a long time. Grow with your mutuals. Support each other. Build together. That’s how real growth happens. This hits 🎯 hard — but let’s take it a step deeper. Dagrin wasn’t predicting the future… he was exposing a pattern. And patterns don’t break just because time passes — they break when incentives change. Right now, the system still rewards: Connections over competence Survival over structure Hustle over honesty So of course things feel worse — it’s the same game, just with higher stakes and more pressure. But here’s the uncomfortable part many people skip: If 70% of young guys are doing Yahoo “to eat,” then the problem isn’t just the system anymore — it’s how deeply people have adapted to it. When dysfunction becomes normalized, it stops looking like a problem and starts looking like culture. And culture is harder to fix than government. So yeah — the system wasn’t built to uplift the poor. But if the mindset becomes “anything goes to escape poverty,” then even a better system tomorrow would still struggle. Real change has to hit both sides: Structural reform Personal recalibration Otherwise, we’re just looping Dagrin’s “Democracy” every generation… with worse lyrics each time.
