I just sat down with @AccVentures to record a new Founder Stories episode with Matt a.k.a. @Peprika_Inferno and it turned into one of those conversations that sticks with you... 🧠 (1 minute read) We covered the origin of “spice” (a meme that somehow became a mission), what it really means to build a brokerage network for DeFi, and why fragmentation isn’t the problem, but an opportunity. Matt kept coming back to this point: experimentation creates innovation, and the real bottleneck isn’t too many chains or too many VMs, the problem is the access. Users don’t care what chain they’re on... they just want to use the apps they like with the assets they already hold. The killer insight for me was that you don’t even have to know @spicenet exists for it to change your experience. Distribution and access happen invisibly in the background, making crypto feel simple and native everywhere. We also riffed on AI (as an extension, not a replacement), the inevitability of DeFi agents driving volume, and why founders should ship first, prove credibility later. Mainnet’s on the horizon, SpiceEdge is around the corner, and the takeaways go way beyond just product, they hit at how the next generation of infra is being built: invisible rails, visible impact.
