These flowery worms are masters of evading predators. Buddlies usually hide among foliage or leafy trees, where they appear to be budding flowers. This enables them to feast on the surrounding greens with little fear of being noticed by more aggressive crytures. An observant conjurer can pick up on the presence of a Buddly pack, however, as they leave a frosty film around the places they've been grazing from. Apparently, they prefer to eat their food cold.

An ooze's main strategy revolves around crippling the enemy's movement and keeping them engaged in melee. Oozplosion lets them plaster everyone within two spaces with the slowed status, while also stunning on a crit.

In its more mature state, an Orerok usually give up its prankster nature, instead choosing a group of smaller crytures to "protect." Although an Orerok's presence is usually tolerated for the protection they offer, they often display coddling behaviors that annoy the crytures under their care. Most common is the tendency to rub their slimy faces against those crytures. This has led conjurers to believe that Oreroks choose which crytures to protect based on which ones they find cute.

A Rockslide cryture is able to charge into enemies, leaving them stunned and disabled. Their basic power is Boulder Roll, which gives the cryture a way to close in on enemies faster, to devastating effect.

These sluggish crytures may seem slow, both mentally and physically, but their slime coating and sheer mass allow them to build up great momentum for devastating charges. Gastroks often entertain themselves by sliding downhill, preferably into other crytures, which always gives them a laugh. Their innate toughness makes them unsympathetic to the harm such pranks may cause, and humans especially can be slain by a roughhousing Gastrok. The curiosity of Snelmet carries over into their new forms and they display the same tendency to follow other crytures around, much to their annoyance.

Making adventure templates is kind of fun because it makes me think about the nitty-gritty aspects of Crytures world building. Like...Permanent settlements mostly revolve around conjurers who've bound a region's mythic cryture. But there's bound to be SOME stable human presence in the areas between them, right? For trade routes and such? Maybe they have small, fortified outposts where inns would normally be. Probably would be a good place for mercenary conjurers to hang out at, looking for work as caravan guards. Now I'm wondering what those micro-economies would look like. Who's jurisdiction do they fall under, if any? Are they just tiny lawless towns? Probably managed by the merchant guilds, if anything 🤔

A Stone cryture has access to a wide variety of powers that lets them adapt to many tactical situations. Their paragon power, Rolling Stone, unlocks a great way to shuffle the battlefield to your liking.

These snail-like crytures possess a sturdy, rock-like shell that serves as both armor and camouflage. When nestled into their shells, Snelmets blend seamlessly into rocky landscapes, easily mistaken for ordinary stones by unsuspecting explorers. When they decide to venture out, Snelmets are often seen tagging along behind other crytures, watching their antics with keen interest. They seem to find great amusement in their observations, chuckling to themselves as they follow along.

An ooze's main strategy revolves around crippling the enemy's movement and keeping them engaged in melee. Sticky Slap is their basic attack, which can reach an extra space, while inflicting the slowed status on a crit.

Slugamush serve as the ultimate bodyguards of Zorbs and their kin. Rarely seen aboveground, these crytures prefer to stay near the deepest caverns when not directly in the presence of their orb masters. Slugamush bear a potent blend of patience and ferocity, often using their amorphous forms to squeeze into tight crevices and set up ambushes against unwary prey or intruders. They also have a penchant for engulfing objects that they find interesting, leading to some interesting finds by those who defeat them.

A Brawler fights by dishing out bursts of damage in between crippling enemies in melee. Furious Brawl can stun every foe in melee range to deny them an action.

Slugoops are commonly encountered leading a pack of Slopeyes on excursions to the surface world. Here, they've been known to abduct humans under cover of darkness, using their slimy forms to squeeze through small cracks before dragging their victims away to their subterranean lairs. Exactly what happens to the abductees is unknown, as no sign or remains of them have ever been found afterward. Yorbs or Florbs sometimes accompany them on these raids, seeming to direct their actions.

Viridian Squires! The more militarized rabble of the Viridian Order. Need a tank? maybe you can get one of these guys to accompany you on an expeditions. They come with a Kriebean :)

A Boxer can single out an enemy and stack effects to disable them, while quickly ramping up damage output. Uppercut can break down enemy defenses with a guaranteed stack of Softened on a hit.

These fleshy slime crytures congregate in shadowy underground caverns, where they gather into puddles of ooze with other Slopeyes. Often seen in the service of Yorbs and their greater kin, the Slopeyes seem to take on the roles of either bodyguards or mindless thralls, carrying out physical labor that thier superiors can't. Greedy creatures by instinct, they possess a habit of engulfing shiny objects, leading hunters to sometimes discover curious relics within the gelatinous remains of a defeated Slopeye.
