@Junky_Buggy Yeah I know exactly what you mean. There's so much knowledge I have about stuff that has come up in arguments, but it's not like I've saved timestamps and what video they're from. And I do not care enough about online arguments to do the work of searching for it.

This is more of a I'm willing to concede the position of the terminology, under certain conditions, type of response to the other guy. Though admittedly, that might be a mistake. It's probably not a good idea to concede that.

I would argue that if he’s being “predatory,” then his actions have to be clearly defined. Mujin’s friend reached out to him, which in this case WOULD NOT be predatory in the least. If the girls come out and say that he was using his larger platform to “force” them into relationships, then I would yield to that being predatory. But simply being popular and reaping the benefits of it between consenting adults, that is not predatory at in my eyes. It’s like saying handsome/beautiful people, or rich people are predatory because they use their advantages to hook up easily with other adults they desire.

To all victims worried about any sort of backlash, don’t be. They’re all the same accounts, and this platform makes it seem like they have a voice by consistently pushing negative replies first. It’s all noise. I encourage you all to speak about your experiences, they matter.

If this becomes the norm, then the next time someone comes out and says these things and they're actually true, how can we believe it? It's a dangerous slippery slope. People need to think more than one step ahead about these things.

That's why continually calling people said term is dangerous. The same applies to the Sykkuno situation right now. Using the terms predatory, abusive and manipulative when from what I can tell, all he did was lie about his relationship status and cheat waters down those terms.

Something I keep coming back to recently when thinking about terminology is "The Boy who Cried Wolf". Previously I've thought about the Nazi label, where a massive amount of content creators have been labeled Nazis. But if you do your own research and look into it.

First, this shouldn’t be refer to this as “predatory” behavior since this how terms get water down, IMO. Manipulative behavior, scumbag behavior, sure, but not “predatory” since there isn’t a power dynamic in play like there would be between an adult and a minor or an employer and their employee. @grok Could you clarify if my interpretation is correct or not?

They're legal adults too with responsibility for their own actions. Can you argue this is still predatory? Maybe.

@VexVextor124 I haven't read up on everything, but from what I understand from twitter, TL;DR is - He cheated on his GF with people who initiated with him for his persona or clout and he made up some lies during it, and now there's overblown drama about it.

No one is saying Sykunno is innocent or defending him (at least I hope no one is), but we're saying adults should be responsible for their own actions.
