Some buildings fill a skyline. Leeza SOHO reshapes it. Designed by Zaha Hadid and built by China Construction Eighth Engineering Division, Leeza SOHO's 172,000 m² tower in Beijing's Lize Financial Business District is defined by its two interlocking halves and a central atrium that twists 45° as it rises — at 194 m, the tallest in the world. Every glass panel, every steel beam — set to exact tolerance, at scale.

CSCEC Malaysia celebrates the topping-out of Damai Suites in Kota Kinabalu — 21,000 sqm, 16 storeys, and Sabah's first residential development with an automated intelligent parking system. A new benchmark for smart urban living in this fast-growing corridor.

Construction completed — Qingdao Guanhai Cultural & Technology Park (青岛观海文化科技产业园). Built by China Construction Eighth Engineering Division in Laoshan District, the 74,800 m² development brings R&D, production, and office space under one roof. Complex site conditions, BIM-driven delivery, green construction throughout — and several provincial awards to show for it. A new platform for culture, technology, and the kind of innovation Qingdao is building towards.

On site, Liew Kok Leong—known as “Brother Liew”—is the 62-year-old procurement engineer. In his ten years with CSCEC, he’s earned a reputation for efficiency, decisiveness, and a friendly, approachable manner. He manages daily operations—from sourcing and inspecting steel, cement, and other materials to logistics, admin, and the site canteen—ensuring everything runs smoothly. Calm, practical, and always ready to lend a hand, his hearty laugh and friendly jokes bring warmth to the busy site. A Malaysian Chinese with a decade at CSCEC, he treats the project as his second home. For him, the greatest satisfaction is seeing the team work confidently and smoothly. Salute to Brother Liew and to all frontline builders who quietly keep the project running.

Syazuan starts his day before the work does. As HSE Officer at Pavilion Square in Kuala Lumpur, his morning is a full site walk — access routes, work zones, crew briefings. On one round he caught a protective measure that wasn't quite right, stopped, fixed it with the crew, and moved on. Small thing. But that's exactly the point. Salute to Syazuan and every frontline builder keeping our sites safe.

CSCEC 8 has completed the renovation of Nantianmen Scenic and Visitor Service Area at Huaguo Mountain, Lianyungang. Journey to the West-inspired interiors, contemporary design, and green construction practices — from 3D-optimized road layouts to wastewater recycling. Now a National Grade-B Tourist Homestay, supporting cultural tourism and rural revitalization in the region.

The Sheraton Kota Kinabalu Hotel project, constructed by #CSCECMalaysia, has recently passed final completion acceptance. Located in the commercial core of Kota Kinabalu, the project is a single-tower five-star hotel with a total gross floor area of approximately 51,000 square meters.
