My answer is clearly no. If the non power teams can get ranked in the top 12, 16 or 24, whatever the final number of playoff bids ends up being, then fine, they deserve it. But I think auto bids overall should go away. Just take the top ranked teams, period.

Should non-power conference champs — those outside the SEC, Big Ten, ACC & Big 12 — get an automatic bid to the playoff?
