Always a pleasure to be speaking at @teamz_inc Web3 AI Summit 2026 in Tokyo, one of my favorite city. Attendance was amazing, the venue splendorous, and most importantly, high-quality conversations (the reason I am coming back every year). Japan is definitely doing it better. Capital is moving from assets to rails Easy beta is behind us. More sophisticated capital is targeting infrastructures that captures flow: issuance, distribution, settlement, and risk 2. Distribution is a moat again Technology is no longer the constraint. Access to users, enterprises, and capital is. Many projects still underestimate this 3. Tokenization needs to change market structure Putting assets onchain is not enough. The real question is whether it improves access, liquidity, collateral mobility, or balance sheet efficiency 4. DeFi is evolving toward risk as a product Yield is being commoditized. What matters now is how risk is priced, structured, and distributed 5. Downside clarity is back at the center Smart money is not just chasing returns. It is focusing on where losses sit, how risk is managed, and how exposure is controlled 6. AI × Web3 is about infrastructure and rails, not tokens The real opportunity lies in data, context, identity, and settlement layers for autonomous agents The shift is clear: From narrative-driven allocation to revenue-aware, infrastructure-led capital deployment.
