@PeterRHann1 I refuse this unless there’s all the above choice. On a serious note, Starwars A New Hope…

So its seems like every week their is a rumor Tulsi Gabbard is about to get fired. I'd write this off except Pam Bondi got turfed, as well as Kristi Noem. I've got my popcorn ready. There is huge list of people that love to say she is a Russian asset, I always found that bizarre given what position she is in, but hey, the Manchurian Candidate could be a thing.

@lasvegas_ape I learned more from AMC-GME manipulation then any book could have taught me but that did come at a cost.

@PeterRHann1 Considering your snow just melted and I've been running around in a tank top since early March tells me you're not in Nevada nor the lower states. Who gets snow mid April anyways lol. Politics ruin everything, cool smooth brains for the win unless you have a time machine..

I don’t care if you are a follower who is liberal , Maga or Paul Rand. I do care that when you read my posts you don’t make stupid replies. And nothing on X triggers me more than some dumbass complaining about me making sport of JD Vance and his road to nowhere. Actually, I’m not even bothered by that. It’s when you supposedly follow me and assume I’m in the us when my profile says otherwise and I post about Calgary almost every day.

So one issue I have with this, is that the US government now has to go through the laborious work of processing all these requests, funding the repayments. And the the admin will find a new way to slapping on tarriffs which might also get challenged and have to be refunded. This isn't just a make work project, this is actually a net negative to the US economy. Long term tariffs are Congress's bailiwick, not the White House. So the Supreme Court challenge was inevitable, the ruling less so, but unless Scotus wanted to set precedent, they had to rule the Tariffs implemented last year illegal. So, this comes down to an ego that thought that they can do anything and bully the system to go along with it. I'm not even touching on the debate whether the tariffs would actually achieve what the Whitw House thinks they will. And this whole debacle is one reason for long term USD weakness. And for anyone that tells me to stick to my lane, global currency trends is my my fking lane.

People are remarking about the lack of trolls this week on AMC posts. X did a major BOT purge surge over the last two weeks. Correlation = Casuality? What say you John Bro?

SpaceX is now using a voice-based AI assistant to answer Starlink customer support calls. The result will put you in touch with a voice that sounds like a human, but is actually Grok. It can converse with you in real time to answer sales-related questions and troubleshoot technical issues with satellite internet service. The chatbot says it can even take your personal information and set up a Starlink account, enabling you to order. pcmag.com/news/hi-this-i…

The saga of Dom Lucre really shows X was contaminated by bullshit posters with large followers, gaming the ad sharing algo. Every day I see more evidence Dom full on con artist. Several other posters followed the same playbook. Why wouldn't they? It was an easy payday. I'm glad X is taking away their oxygen.

@PeterRHann1 Reply guy / conversational style — Many of your recent posts are short replies or low-context comments. The algo strongly deprioritizes these compared to original, value-adding posts with images, threads, or strong hooks. This defines my post's. My bad..

Common suppression triggers that likely apply to you: Low engagement velocity — Your recent posts are getting very few likes/replies early on → the algo stops pushing them further. Follower quality / bot purge effect — You yourself posted about losing ~800 followers recently due to X's ongoing bot purge. Fake/inactive followers drag down your "real engagement rate," which hurts reach for everyone (even real followers). Niche + repetitive topics — Heavy focus on silver/GME/AMC/precious metals/conspiracy-adjacent finance content often gets lower distribution. These communities have high bot/fake engagement historically, so X's algo has become very cautious with them. Reply guy / conversational style — Many of your recent posts are short replies or low-context comments. The algo strongly deprioritizes these compared to original, value-adding posts with images, threads, or strong hooks. General post-purge cooldown — After big bot cleanups, many accounts (especially in finance/meme stock spaces) see temporary throttling while the algo re-learns who the real audience is.

From the article, this paragraph triggered me. The whole point of studying history is to learn from it, so you can make better informed decisions for the future. But if university students didn't know who Winston Churchill was, and no idea who was who in WW2, well then I say Canada is kinda fucked. And this was 11 years ago, these ignorant people are now in the workforce, likely making sub optimal decisions. And how ill informed is the next generation in school now? I know to take all MSM stories with a grain of salt, but in my generation, Canadians prided themselves on being well educated. For example, without looking it up I know the capital of California is Sacramento. We just were encouraged to know things. Now, not so much. "Back in 2015, I made a video in which I interviewed university students in Toronto and asked them questions about the war. With few exceptions, they didn’t know who Franklin D. Roosevelt was or, for that matter, Winston Churchill. They had never heard of Josef Mengele or the Final Solution. They were unable to identify the Allies and had no idea what took place on D-Day." Jerry Amernic: As the greatest generation fades away, so does Canada's historical literacy msn.com/en-ca/news/wor…

X is once again proving to me that there is a large contingent of posters that are completely brain dead and if I wanted to, I could down the dark side and easily troll for engagement. For example, if I wanted to, I could reply to an Elon post about the teslas and wax poetically about how awesome the cyber truck was and how Elon has made the world a better place by introducing it and get a few hundred people telling me I was an Elon Simp. I have no interest in it other to note it looks better in black than silver but it is still an ugly car that Steve Jobs would hate.

I keep seeing people wondering why their follower counts are dropping. X has been doing a BOT purge since Friday. I've lost about 800 followers. I'm happy, as I suspect they someone contribute to my reach being throttled.

We always have to remind everyone that Finviz Elite comes with live data. Other platforms charge you *more* for live data. We don't do that. Our goal is to make the most cost competitive plan on the market. A single Finviz Elite plan comes with all the data you need for every major stock and ETF.

Since today is a religious holiday for many, I’m going to do something that nobody asked for or probably even wants.. Give my definition and use cases of God. 1) God is the unknown and perceived unknowable. 2) God is the palatable explanation for something that has deep importance in life. If either of these two rules aren’t true, then it can no longer be God. Since God represents something unknown and unknowable, the same God tends to take over a population that has no alternative belief system. Once a population has shared God, a prophet can claim interaction and create rules that define a set of values and moral principles for that society. These values can be used to align morals in order to create a functioning, well behaved society. It creates law and order through shared values and beliefs. Without shared beliefs, a society can no longer function properly and is destined to fail. It will fail either quietly over time, or through an aggressor exploiting the vulnerability. This can also be seen as patriotism. When a society of has a shared set of values and principles, they will stand up to defend those values. When a society has no shared set of values, they become unpatriotic and will not defend their neighbors and even their own values. God is the glue that creates a functioning society, while also acting as the binding agent to hold that society together. God is the most important human invention. Happy Easter.

Random career thought of the day. A long time ago I was told by recruiters I needed to be more knowledgable on spreadsheet macros. I did some courses but never thought I had learnt it well enough to feel really comfortable. Most of my training had been on Lotus 123 and I never got into excel. In the back of my mind , it nagged me for years. At some point though, about 20 years ago as I started to have people working for me, I realized it was pointless to worry about it, as I had people better trained and more eager than I to create and manipulate databases. My value now came from broader perspectives. Also of course, technology has changed the nature of work. Some of the mind numbing, routine stuff I did at the Bank of Canada I'm sure was automated decades ago. AI is going to accelerate this feeling. I don't miss all that grunt work, I just need to get rid of the feeling its not work if its easy.
