@gregthesorcerer Genetically I think they're a more derived form of Elf, like the Hobgoblin is to the standard Goblin. I think elves are mammals? Human/Elf hybridization is well documented, but magic may be what lets it happen.

Are gnomes considered a type of primate?

I always think about which monsters deserve a sub species or variant and usually Velkhana or Seregios come to mind.
But then there’s monsters that I want to see get one that aren’t talked about a lot, like Tetranadon, I’d like to see him get a sub or variant.

@ES4613424423 Xu Wu would absolutely have Ambush Secret. 25% more damage on sneak attacks would be cracked. Espinas would have Foray Secret with Attack+20 and 30% Affinity to pair with his Poison/Fire weapons, and Tzitzi would probably get Wide Range Secret, which would allow Max Potion spread

@Peko_girlboss The base form is normal/flying and has to constantly eat sugary foods to keep its energy up, and then when it evolves it's metabolism has slowed to the point it's fat and lazy and is now Normal/Grass with Thick Fat and low speed.

@Cthuluman Yeah, maybe they could do something fruit bat-ish and then make it normal/grass with plenty of flying moves; and just say “it’s a lazy pokemon who can’t bring itself to fly except in emergencies”

I like that Alola really tried making it’s early route pokemon more usable than prior games
