Commercial driver allegedly transporting passengers from Onitsha to Lagos got into a heated argument with the front-seat passenger and threatened to “deal with” him. On getting to Ijebu-Ode, he reportedly swerved and crashed the passenger’s side of the bus into a parked truck. The front-seat passenger died at the scene, while several others were injured. The driver abandoned the vehicle and went home, but was later arrested by authorities.
