🚨 An Important Security Update from the Ctrl Team We identified a security issue impacting a small number of Cardano wallets on our platform. We have contained the issue and paused the affected functions.

Quick update on the THORChain incident. TL;DR: Ctrl user funds are safe. 🛡️ The exploit targeted one of THORChain’s protocol-owned vaults. @THORChain has shared an early update pointing to a suspected vulnerability in their TSS key management. Ctrl is non-custodial. Your recovery phrase and private keys never leave your device, so user funds in Ctrl are not at risk from this incident. THORChain has paused trading, signing, and LP actions. Cross-chain swap routes through THORChain in Ctrl are affected during the pause. Everything else in the app works as normal. ⚠️ SECURITY REMINDER: Incidents like this bring phishing attempts and fake “support” accounts. We will never DM you first or ask for your recovery phrase. Trust only @Ctrl_Wallet. We’ll update as more information becomes available.

This week, that transition became official. @emurgo_io is securing the future of what we built, giving our community the certainty that this technology will live on. The multichain architecture we shaped will continue inside what they are developing next with @secondfiapp. We’re proud of what the team shipped and appreciate EMURGO stepping in to carry the product forward and keeping it available to our users. As part of the transition, the $CTRL token will not be taken over, in line with the economic reality of the token and the wallet. Thank you to everyone who supported us over the years.
