@TheDetroitEra His 2000 National Championship team was beaten by Wright State during the regular season. Wright State finished 11-17.

Many believe this is Izzo’s worst loss. It isn’t.
Losing in 2018 versus 11-seed Play-In Syracuse coached by Jim Boeheim’s corpse while having two lottery picks on the roster and playing in Detroit is easily the worst loss in MSU history.

10 years ago tomorrow, 15-seed Middle Tennessee State ruined brackets by never trailing against 2-seed Michigan State in their 1st Round matchup

In 2022, I drove to @FourWindsField to watch the @SBCubs in the Midwest League Championship. Little did I know four years ago that I would see four players that would participate in the World Baseball Classic, three of them playing important roles. Just wild!

@BarstoolPack Barkley is terrible. I don’t think he’s watched a single college basketball game all season.

Jim Leyland has forgotten more about managing than Mark DeRosa knows.
Mike J. Asti@MikeAsti11
Still the only manager to lead USA to a World Baseball Classic title.
English

@TalkinBaseball_ @BNightengale Waiting for his team to take the lead to use his best bullpen option when they were the home team and the game was in the 9th. Embarrassing all the way around. Put a meathead in charge with hardly any manager experience and this is what you get.

Mark DeRosa on not using Mason Miller against Venezuela:
"Honoring the Padres. Had we taken the lead, he was coming in, but I wasn't going to bring him in to a tie game."

@notgaetti He was in over his head. So many better options of managers who have managed thousands of games, won WS, and been manager of the year. Scioscia, Bochy, Madden, Baker.
English

Mark DeRosa’s brain was on another planet throughout the entire 2026 WBC.
There’s no “had we taken the lead.” Team USA was the home team. If you “had taken the lead” in the 9th inning, the game would be over.
There’s no situation where Miller could have pitched with the lead.

@MLFootball Mike Scioscia - managed 3,000 games. won a WS as a manager. Two time manager of the year
Bruce Bochy - managed over 4,000 games. 4x WS champion manager
Joe Madden - 2,000 games managed, 3X manager of the year, WS champion manager

How did the United States not have a real, recently retired Manager, like Bruce Bochy?
MLFootball@MLFootball
TRUE OR FALSE: MARK DEROSA IS THE WORST MANAGER IN BASEBALL HISTORY…?
English

@WBCBaseball @Cfbaby39 Congratulations to Venezuela. It clearly meant more to them than the US who played with very little emotion and seemed to just be going through the motions during the WBC. Mark DeRosa managed terribly and shouldn’t be allowed anywhere near the US team again.
English

@STL_Stats_Facts It’s crazy to think you have guys that have managed hundreds of games in the big leagues and we have to settle for DeRosa who has never managed a single game in the majors.
English

@WBCBaseball Has anyone informed DeRosa there isn’t another game after this one?
