@SRFORTX @soirchick @TheLawyerCraig Genuinely I don't believe you have even a fraction of an idea what you are talking about. I feel like you are just throwing out vaguely smart sounding words and hoping it sticks.

@Cubature_ @soirchick @TheLawyerCraig This explanation fails to cite the amount of energy needed to do this right? Every action cause an opposing reaction? The building didn’t fall on impact. Floors near the the impact were damaged from the heat and softened beams yes. But the structural steel amount of

So strange. I have a similar tale: I threw a round of 20mm at a wall once (pretty hard!), and it didn't do much damage at all. But then we strafed in combat with the same 20mm round fired from our F-15E, and somehow we were able to inflict immense damage. Curious.

So you mean to tell me, an airplane can go right through the World Trade Center that had steel structure beams of 4 inch plate every 40” using 12 different grades of steel with a yield strength of 100,000 psi but if the same plane were to run into a firetruck on a runway the plane is completely destroyed. Got it!

@Cubature_ @soirchick @TheLawyerCraig Reinforced concrete are more robust at the bottom. Free fall speed it fell at. Why didn’t the undamaged floors below slow down the free fall? Why was ground zero so hot for weeks after?

@SRFORTX @soirchick @TheLawyerCraig The floors above the site of impact fell onto the floors below, causing a cascading effect. Heavy thing falling makes lots of energy; lots of energy makes damage; damage makes falling things which make more energy which makes more damage etc.

@SRFORTX @soirchick @TheLawyerCraig The design of the skyscraper failed to account for the high temperatures produced by burning jet fuel. As a result, the steel beams (which did not melt) were softened to a degree where they were able to buckle under the weight of the floors above.

@SRFORTX @soirchick @TheLawyerCraig it's almost like flying a plane into a building creates a lot of (very heavy) debris. it's almost like flying a plane into a building does a lot of damage to the plane.

NVIDIA will publish some insane technology that could genuinely revolutionize 3d graphics just for it to be seen by maybe two people and then the next week release some mainstream DLSS update that will invariably set AAA games back another 5 years. Truly incredible.

@VT5210 @ferretbur @womwithnoo Cis as a prefix has existed for millennia. That is, thousands of years. It is the antonym of trans. If you are not cis, you are trans, and vice versa. ~99% of people are not trans, and thus, they are cis. That's not 'woke,' that's fundamentally how English works.
