[It was going towards a dark hallway. It was looking for something. maybe. . . someone?] [Honestly it was hard to say. THESE kind of Rubber Ducks always had a mind of their own away. People in this school didn't even question it anymore.]

[The duck then bumped into somebody's foot, sort of... stumbling? It kind of hit them nose first. Gosh, that must have hurt. And when it looked up, it saw a face. . .]

"Are you ok, little ducky?~ Nowhere else to go...?" [The girl, or, princess, kindly asked the duck. It didn't really give a response to her.]

" . . . ? " [The girl looked down at the rubber duck, stars twirling in her eyes.] [The Rubber Duck shuffled away ever so slightly.]

"Don't worry. . . I'm not going to let anyone hurt you. . ." [She said, scooping the duck into her arms, almost protectively. One of her hands combing over the duck's head.]
