The program is a @Uni_Rwanda & @PIH_Rwanda joint training designed to produce patient-centered, community oriented medical doctors by understanding the social determinants of health, communities where patients come from, train them on how to become advocates for their patients.

Partners In Health announced that its founder, Dr. Paul Farmer, unexpectedly passed away today in his sleep while in Rwanda. Dr. Farmer was 62 years old. He is survived by his wife, Didi Bertrand Farmer, and their three children. 1/🧵
