From The Choirgirl Hotel is a great example of an artist at their most "complete" cus she was employing so many different methods across the album & they all worked amazingly. Piano arrangements, Alt Rock, Dance, Trip-Hop, Art Pop & Downtempo like... Tori Amos, you are so loved.

I think what’s offensive (and honestly kinda heartbreaking) about her saying this is true fact that Madonna advocated for female pop stars to be more hands-on with their craft and helped pave the way for someone like her. If it wasn’t for Madonna being recognized for her versatility and pop music, Gaga would be seen as generic pop tart in Halloween costumes.
