After an incredible 9-year tenure leading the Catholic High lacrosse program, Head Coach George Hopkins will step down at the conclusion of this season to return to his alma mater in Baltimore, Maryland. We thank Coach Hopkins for the lasting impact he has had on so many @CHSBRLax athletes and the CHS community. We wish him and his family all the best in his next chapter!

Congratulations to @CurDogBowling senior Owen Songne on being named the Carmouche Insurance Student-Athlete of the Week! Owen is a 4th-year member of the bowling team and currently anchors the varsity starting lineup. He is known for his calm and reserved demeanor, but Owen still provides leadership by letting his performance speak for itself. Off the lanes, Owen is a member of the band, JCL, and Games Club all while maintaining a 3.80 GPA.

This week, the @CurDogBowling began their season with victories over Baton Rouge High and Scotlandville. After defeating Baton Rouge High on Monday by a score of 21.5-5.5, the Bears were even more dominant in a 26-1 victory over Scotlandville on Wednesday. CHS was led by Cole Fisher's high score of 212. Ryan Droddy (210), Owen Songne (209), and Colton Karisny (203) all contributed to the win.
