The Carcharocles Megalodon Dentis Caeruleus, the Blue Tooth of the Megalodon 🦈 This brilliant specimen isn’t the work of light of modern dye. It is the result of a millenia long fossilisation in mineral-rich marine sediment ⏳ Over time during the specimen’s fossilisation, the organic minerals decayed from the tooth, being replaced by phosphate minerals and blending with elements such as iron, manganese and other trace minerals 🔎 This process changes the tooth’s hue, typically from grey to a jet black colour.
